HAPPY 2009!
It just dawned on me—OMG, Cheerios is going to be 12 years old in March! Good Lord. Where does the time go? He was just a four-year-old snotty upstart when I bought him in 2001. We've come so far. I've been blessed to enjoy his company and all that he has taught me.

Shaveya turns 11. My horses, they are not babies anymore...

Not much happening with winter being here. The weather alternates from 25 below wind chills and cars with doors frozen shut, to a week later giving us a day in the 70s. Ohio weather—you don't like it? Wait a minute... but the year is new, we're on the upswing of the clock (days are growing longer now), and spring is headed our way. Only a few weeks from now, we'll be polishing the saddles, currying out the winter hair, and hitting the trails and paddocks again. Life will be in full swing.

Until then, we must endure. :-)
